Do you ever go thru other peoples links? I do. Sometimes I meet the most interesting people that way. The reason I do this is because if someone has taken the time to put someone in their links list it must be for a good reason. These reasons can vary depending on the blogger. For example, some bloggers collect links of people with similar interest. For example, actors collect other actors links, artist collect other artist links, writers collect other writer links, quilters collect other quilters, Moms collect links of other moms and so on and so on. Some people collect links to see how many they can collect. Some people collect links of people they hate. I never really understood this but hey it’s their links they can collect anyone they wish.
I collect links for a few reasons. The first reason is because I accidently came across a blog that had something that caught my eye and after a thorough read thru I discovered I enjoyed the content. Secondly, I collect links to people that I find facinating in some way. I like to read actor blogs. I have never wanted to be an actor but I do find their lives fascinating. Third reason, if you leave me a comment I place your link over in the sidebar so that other people might stumble upon your site and find you as interesting as I do. Fourth reason, I collect links is because I truly like meeting people from around the world. Find your name in the sidebar. 🙂
Who is in your link list?

It usually takes me a few weeks of reading a person’s blog before I put their link on my blog. I like to put people that I enjoy reading, or talking too. I have found some blogs, because I log into toher peopls links, I figured that if we both like the same blog, we might have somethings in common.

Well…that is the very way I found any…I tried surfing like you said but got frustrated with the foul language and foreign language and finally put in “Empty Nest” that brought up a few…from there I read their links of what they were reading and it opened up a whole new world to me…so far I really like those I have included on my Links list and I have about 25 more in my favorites list. I want to read further on them before adding…I don’t want my blog to get too bogged down…lol!
Quite a few of my newfound friends were found through links from other people’s blogs…I’ll read quite a few of their posts and if I enjoy them, I’ll add them to my links right away so that I can come visit again:-)
My links are people I have friendships with, people I have found through other blogs, people who have commented on mine that I found their blog interesting, and fellow Arkansas bloggers.
I love looking through others’ links. Like you said, you can find many interesting people doing this.
One another great way of finding great blogs is through comments left at blogs. If someone’s comment catches my eye, I’ll usually click their name and 9 times out of 10 I am hooked. 🙂
