I just watched Darryl Worley’s new video “Nothin’ but a love thang”…oh my gosh.. he sure has let his hair grow long. He’s starting to remind me of one of those Harlequin Romance novel male models. (The books are on display at the end of the aisles in every grocery store across the country.) I think I like Darryl better with short hair. I did like the video, it was very sexy indeed.

I watched the video and you know what? With that long hair he reminds me of my red neck neighbor back in Kentucky.
Now, why would Darryl,a good looking man like him, want to look like that? I have a gripe with Keith Urban too, like shave already! If you knew any of the no good redneck men like I have ever seen or been a neighbor too…you know if they look that way they usually smell too…a mixture of stale beer, body odor and pure laziness…lol! And believe me none of them I know could afford a hotel room much less a woman as good looking as the gal in the video! I guess they’re trying to give those “good ol’ boys” some hope…lmbo!
Tammy: LOL! I agree with you. Have you noticed that when Ketih Urban started he had a gap between his two front teeth. Teeth have been fixed but now he seems to have lost the razor. I do like his singing though.
I do agree on Keith’s & Darryl’s music…I like it…but their looks just don’t do it for me…lol!
Actually sometimes a music video ruins a song for me…I have a whole other senario (sorry if that is mispelled…lol) in my head from what the video turns out to be.
I’m the same way with books…most of the time I like the book better than the movie.

I’m from Tennessee. My family all lives in and around Nashville. I actually currently live in New Mexico because my husband is in the Air Force. I like to watch country music videos. I listen and watch on http://music.yahoo.com One day last week I was watching music videos when Darryl Worley’s new song came on. I was a bit surprised to see the long hair. My first reaction I believe was “Oh my gosh!…he needs a hair cut….dang he has big arms.”

No, I have not met Darryl Worley…I’m afraid the closest I have ever gotten to Darryl Worley is clicking on the links to his music videos. : )
But we have alot in common. For example : I’m married, He’s married, He sings country music, I enjoy listening to country music, He has ties to the military, I have ties to the military. The commonality is just astounding. : )

I’m pretty new to country music (two years?) and still getting to know artists one by one. I kind of thought of Darryl Worley as writing pretty wholesome music supportive of country and family and friendship and God. I was pretty taken aback (and offended) by “Nothing but a Love Thang” video. If they had just slapped a couple of wedding bands on those two, I would have LOVED it (ala “Your Man”–because they were married in and outside the video–it really cranked my motor–OMG! he PUTS HER SHOES ON for her, for crying out loud! 🙂 ).
What’s up with Darryl? Someone can change their image and sound all they want (I think his hair and scruff do him a big favor, by the way!), but did he have to appear to revise his standards? He’s talking out of both sides of his mouth if he spends time thanking God on his CD jacket, but putting his hands and mouth all over some chick for the camera. I think about his wife back home playing happy hostess at their diner, and he’s out touring, making a steamy video with a babe from “casting”? I have trouble separating the artist and the work. I have to love and respect both to enjoy their music.
