Good Gosh I have got another cold!!!!
Ok, I have come to the determination that the airport is a dirty, dirty, place. I’m not referring to the professional exotic dancers traveling to Las Vegas daily to work. (They must keep the planes pretty warm cause these girls don’t wear a lot of clothes).
I have to give them credit though because they are making the attempt to cover those enormous boobs with inky dinky shirts(I’ll tell you about the time I almost got my eye poked out another time) and covering their lower halves with micro-skirts(barely). Ever play “spot the thong”? Is she wearing one or not? 🙂
Sometimes a thousand people an hour travel through my checkpoint to get to their planes. People from all walks of life. It’s really quite interesting. My favorites are the self perceived good looking young men who flash their pearly whites and well defined muscles when they are running late hoping to cut to the front of the line…I’m immune to their charms but it is so fun to watch. 🙂
I have always been extremely healthy. I never get sick. I have had the occasional flu over the years but common colds and such just don’t effect me. That is until I started working at the airport. Who knows how many germs every day I am subject to but it must be in the millions (or billions). I come in contact with people from all over the world. I touch their persons and their belongings. Some of the people I pat down should truly be in quarantine.
I change my gloves and wash my hands many, many times a day. I don’t think changing my gloves is helping because someone is always sneezing on me, coughing on me and spewing hidden germs all over me. The germs are in the air. I can’t hide from them. I’m thinkin of wearing a chemical suit and gas mask to shield myself from these germs.
I have a headcold, watery eyes, stuffy nose and a few body aches. A few weeks ago I had a horrible stomach virus and a couple of weeks before that another ailment. I think I have been sick five or six times since November.
I’m also thinkin that I should be getting hazardous duty pay or at least some sort of innoculations!!!
PS: Ricardo I’m not attempting to increase my blog rating to at least a “PG” rating. I like my good girl image…really…I do.
