Housing Inspector

The housing inspector comes by today at 2pm to inventory our household goods. It only takes a few minutes. They just need to know how big of a truck to bring on Tuesday. I will be spending all morning trying to neatly stack and categorize stuff.  With the help of my five children we will write down every thing we own. We have already taken everything off the walls and everything out of wall units. I have stacks of stuff (ie; video games, cd’s, DVD’s, records, pictures, vhs tapes, books, and knick knacks) lined up against practically every wall in my house. Geesh!! you would not believe the stuff. Every child in my house collects something.

Did I mention after Tuesday I will not have a computer? It’s going to kill me. My computer is my friend.

  1. Hi Marsha,
Thanks for visiting me! I see you are a military wife and getting ready to move. I just finished reading “Under the Saber, the unwritten Code of Army Wives”. It was a good read, and it mentioned that May & June are the most popular months to move!
Five children must be such a blessing….

  2. Tammy: I wll be glad when this move is over.

Sue: Thanks for dropping by. Yes, five children are a blessing. I love being a mom.!

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog. You have a lot going on right now. Moving is the pits. Moving from country to country is the pit of all pits! Sounds like you’ve done some of both. We’ve moved to Australia and back since we’ve been married.
Your new house looks wonderful. Have fun getting it all in order.

  4. Good luck with your move! I know it’s a tough time, but it will be over soon and you’ll be in your great new place! 🙂

  5. I don’t know you keep up at the pace you do. I’m glad you’ve got the kids involved & helping. Do you know how long you’ll be without a computer? Ack! Just hearing that makes me nervous.

  6. Kerri: thanks for stopping by. I like visiting other peoples blogs. Don’t tell anyone but I think it’s an obsession. 🙂

Jane: I will be without my computer until the middle of July….sounds like a long time doesn’t it?….I’m already getting the shakes. 🙂

  7. Tammy: OOPs!, I didn’t mean to leave you out of that comment. I can’t wait to get into my new home. I have never been in a house that large before.

  8. ThanX for stopping by my blog. Was a military spouse myself for 12 years- know how you feel about the move 🙂 Keep going- you’ll make it!
Enjoy your blog- do you mind if l put you as a link on my page? I can check in more often then.

  9. Thanks for stopping in today, your sweet.
when I move I always start out apologizing to hubby first thing,I opologize for all the mean or grouchy remarks I probably might send his way, that I don’t really mean, but I’m tired and pressured and stressed and feel like I have to do it all. So honey,I’m sorry ahead of time.

Get your computer back up soon, let us know when you do xxxooo

  10. It’s when you have to move that you realize just how much stuff you’ve accumulated throughout the years….add 5 kids’ stuff too and it’s that much worse! lol I hope your move is a smooth one and that you’ll soon be all settled into your new home…I hope you get your computer up and running sooner than later!! Will miss your posts in the meantime. Good luck and know that we’ll all be thinking of you!!

  11. I don’t think I thanked you for your comment on granny. Had a busy couple of days.

I’d love to have you visit and to add you to blog roll but I should tell you we probably have differing political views. I don’t care if you don’t but wanted to leave the choice to you instead of just automatically adding you as I usually do with visitors.

    Best,
