Adopt this movie

This is a neat idea. I have to actually take a look at my check book…yep not a lot in there. I would buy  a few frames myself but my five children prefer to eat.   🙂

I copied the following directly from the Adopt this movie website.

The Concept

Our goal is to raise $1.44M to produce the horror film A Midsummer Nightmare by asking for donations from the generous internet community. Here’s how it works: There are 24 frames per second of film. 60 seconds in a minute, 100 minutes in our film and at $10/frame you’ve got Movie Making History! You, the movie-going, genre-loving freak that you are, adopt frames of our film at $10 a frame (minimum adoption is 10 frames). In recognition of your donation we will place a Donor Name Plate with your name or the name of your business on the homepage of this website.* There are several levels of adoption. The higher the level of adoption the larger your Donor Name Plate and the greater our appreciation!!! There is no limit to the number of frames you may adopt.

And here’s the best part: Adopt a minimum of 120 frames (5 seconds) and you will see your name in the closing credits of the finished film!

We are planning to market the heck out of this website. We will begin with a grassroots email campaign targeting friends, family, chat rooms, horror fan sites, you name it. In turn we will ask that each recipient of the original email pass it on to friends, co-horts, business partners who may be interested, as well. We also plan for press releases regarding this website, our efforts and the film, “A Midsummer Nightmare”, in major trade papers (Hollywood Reporter, Variety). And we hope to get coverage on the many independent film websites that exist. The more we get the word out, the greater our chances of success. To our knowledge no one has ever attempted to raise the movie making capital they needed in this fashion.

We need your help. Wanna help us make a movie? Get in on the NIGHTMARE!

For just 28 cents a day you can send a girl to Camp Mustardseed…

And watch her die.
