Bucky Covington

Bucky Covington

As everyone knows….I am addicted to country music. It’s my preferred genre to listen to while driving to work. I have a 40 minute drive to get to the Airport.

It’s always a thrill when I hear a new song that has meaning to me. I was driving to work a few days ago and listening to sirius satelite radio when I hear the song “A Different World”. It was a nice song. I liked it. It brought back memories of my childhood. My first instinct was to briefly glance up at my receiver and see who was singing. To my surprise it was Bucky Covington. Bucky was a contestant on American Idol 2006. He was one of my favorites. (I had a lot of favorites. I wanted them all to win.)

  2. Marsha,

Great to see you at the airport today. Sorry I blew the employee discount thing; but next time! (Hey it is 10% off except for coffee and soda where it is more like 50% with fixed 99 cent prices or $1.07 with sales tax.)

Thanks for turning me on to Bucky and his music. I have not been a big music fan but I did just buy Martina McBride’s “Timeless” with 18 of her classic country favorites. (I only have a 20 minute drive to the Mohave South lot, so it takes a few trips to hear the whole thing.)

Stop by for a Cinnabon. I work from 4 AM to 12:30 PM (or later) except Mon. & Tue.

    Later.

  3. Thanks for the info on Bucky. I loved his new song. I liked him too. It is interesting how many of the idol “losers” are going on to have very successful careers. It has greatly improved since the first season. I think it is because more talented young people are competing.
