Check Engine Light

Grrrrr!!!! I was driving to work yesterday and noticed the little check engine light is on in my car….Please don’t let it be anything serious. I don’t want to have to spend a lot of money to get something fixed…..

I’m off to shower and then find a car place to tell me what is wrong with my car.

EDIT: I HAVE  AN O2 sensor out. getting it fixed on Monday.

  1. Congrats on the job–but too bad about Chilis (smirk). And check your gas cap–one time when my light went on that was all it was. I didn’t have it screwed on all the way. Of course, that’s just too easy, isn’t it? I’ll just keep my fingers crossed for you.
Oh yeah, happy national de-lurking week!

  2. Yikes! I hope it’s nothing serious either. Maybe all your car needs is an oil change, sometimes my check engine light came on because of that. Car needs oil, water, new air filter, power steering fluid, washer fluid, coolant…
of course if your car is just old, the check engine light might just be on for no good reason, and it’ll stay on forever more. Mine is.

  3. Glad to hear your car worries are nothing too serious.
I also get very nervous when one of the lights come on, though it has not happened very often, and when it did, it was similar to yours, a sensor had gone out.
