I grew up on Star Trek. It is an obsession of mine. I watched all the Star Trek series. I watched all the movies. I read the books. I learned a little Klingon, Vulcan and Romulan. My friend Jon Baas brought the following link to my attention. It’s a tribute to 40 years of Trek. Click on the following Star Trek link and watch but I warn you bring a tissue.

Weird. I never would have thought you being a treky! The video was cool, it wasn’t just 40 years of star trek, it was forty years of contempary culture. It was a blast from the past well worth watching.
thanks Marsha
Tis not weird…I admit it…I am a treky thru and thru. 🙂
I somehow became a trekky. I don’t know how it happened, I never liked the show growing up, though I watched plenty of it. Now, I can’t get enough and I am fascinated with the stories, the good acting, the bad acting…
Did, Star Trek ever “jump the shark”? Sure there were bad shows from time to time but perhaps, that is why it is so fascinating. It survived the good and bad. To be on tv for so long, with so many spin offs and movies made out of it. It seems to be the only television show in history to impact society so much.
I don’t know why Star Trek has been so incredibly popular or why it has stayed around so long…..but it has impacted my life in may ways.
