Well, yesterday was hectic indeed. We had the movers, direct tv and the cable company at our house at the same time. The movers unloaded our stuff and then we discovered that two of our crates were missing. None of my kitchen appliances or dishes made it to our new house. We are also missing a dresser, a computer chair and a few other things. The moving company said they would find our crates and hopefully deliver our missing things in a day or two. I am so glad my husband took out insurance to cover any loss 100%.

That happened to me a few times with moving in the navy- arghhh- l know how you feel. One time half our stuff got mixed up with another family- it took ages for it to get swapped over and still some things were missing. I think the other couple took a liking to my rocking chair and kept it! etc. Anyway glad you have insurance- smart move. Sorry to hear of this for you Marsha- do hope that you did not have any sentimental stuff missing- that was the worst for me.

as soon as I saw the title of this post I said “Oh No!!”
I’ve never used movers and this always seems to happen to my sister that is in the military and moves a lot…something is always missing…

What a RELIEF your husband got insurance. It sounds like it’s mostly applicance & stuff, hopefully not sentimental things. Glad to hear you’re getting settled in your new home. Hope the heat isnt too bad. (It’s kind of redundant to say that when you’re in Arizona though)
Holy cow! I’ve heard of luggage getting lost, but a moving company loosing your furniture? That really sucks, I’m so sorry to hear that.
